  • 12 ounces (340 grams) white chocolate chips or melting wafers

  • Optional: pinch of salt
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Place 36 Oreos in a food processor and pulse until finely ground (about 30 seconds). Alternatively, crush Oreos in a sealed plastic bag with a rolling pin until crumbly but not powdery.
  2. Transfer crushed Oreos to a medium bowl. Add 8 ounces softened cream cheese and optional 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Stir until fully combined into a thick, uniform dough (2-3 minutes).
  3. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up the dough.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop about 1 tablespoon (15 grams) of the mixture and roll into smooth balls about 1 inch (2.5 cm) in diameter. Place evenly spaced on the sheet.
  5. Refrigerate the balls for 15-20 minutes to firm up before dipping.
  6. Melt 12 ounces white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second bursts, stirring between each until smooth. Alternatively, melt over a double boiler on low heat.
  7. Dip each chilled ball into the melted white chocolate using a fork or dipping tool, gently tapping off excess chocolate. Place back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Immediately sprinkle the dipped truffles with colorful sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
  9. Refrigerate the coated truffles for at least 30 minutes or until the white chocolate hardens completely.

Notes

Use softened cream cheese for smooth texture. Chill dough twice for best shape and coating. Use good quality white chocolate for smooth melting and glossy finish.
