A quick and easy creamy salad combining crisp apples, chopped Snickers bars, mini marshmallows, shredded coconut, and peanuts in a luscious whipped pudding dressing. Perfect for potlucks and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 medium apples (preferably a mix of sweet and tart like Fuji and Granny Smith), chopped into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 regular-sized Snickers bars, chopped into small chunks
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts, roasted and unsalted
  • 1 cup whipped topping (such as Cool Whip or homemade whipped cream)
  • 1 small package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3/4 cup milk (whole or 2%)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Wash, core, and chop 3 medium apples into bite-sized pieces. Toss them gently in a bowl with 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice to prevent browning.
  2. Using a sharp knife, cut 3 regular-sized Snickers bars into small chunks (about 1/2 inch). Be careful not to mash them.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 small package of instant vanilla pudding mix with 3/4 cup of cold milk until slightly thickened but still pourable.
  4. Gently fold 1 cup of whipped topping into the pudding mixture to create a creamy dressing.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine the lemon-coated apples, 1 cup mini marshmallows, 1/2 cup shredded coconut, and 1/2 cup chopped peanuts. Toss lightly to mix.
  6. Pour the creamy pudding mixture over the apple mixture and gently fold until well coated.
  7. Add the chopped Snickers bars last, folding them in carefully to avoid breaking them down too much.
  8. Cover the salad with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

Do not skip the chilling step to allow flavors to meld and achieve the perfect creamy texture. Fold whipped topping gently to keep the salad light and fluffy. Chop Snickers bars just before mixing to maintain crunch and prevent melting. For dairy-free or nut-free adaptations, substitute ingredients accordingly.
