Quick and easy crispy steak bites cooked in an air fryer and tossed in a rich garlic butter sauce. Perfect for a satisfying snack or appetizer with a crispy crust and tender inside.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound top sirloin steak, trimmed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat steak cubes dry with paper towels to help them crisp up better.
  2. Toss steak cubes in a mixing bowl with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  4. Place steak cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overcrowding. Cook at 400°F for 7-9 minutes, shaking or turning halfway through for even browning.
  5. While steak cooks, melt butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Add minced garlic and cook gently for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, then remove from heat.
  6. Transfer cooked steak bites to a bowl and immediately pour garlic butter over them. Toss gently to coat.
  7. Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the steak bites for garnish and serve immediately while hot and crispy.

Notes

Patting the steak dry before seasoning is key to achieving a crispy crust. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking. Use tongs gently to turn steak bites to prevent piercing and drying out the meat. For extra crispiness, a quick broil after air frying can be done but watch carefully to avoid burning. For dairy-free, substitute butter with plant-based spread or olive oil.
