  • 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground sausage and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until no longer pink and nicely browned, about 7-8 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the warm sausage with softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, Parmesan (if using), garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir until evenly mixed and creamy.
  4. Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface and separate into 8 triangles.
  5. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the sausage-cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
  6. Roll each triangle up starting at the wide end toward the point. Place crescents seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, spacing about 1 inch apart.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and crisp. Watch closely after 12 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and transfer to a cooling rack for a few minutes. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm.
