Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (300 grams) cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie recommended)
  • 8 oz (225 grams) cream cheese, softened (full-fat recommended)
  • ½ cup (120 ml) buffalo sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot)
  • ½ cup (120 ml) ranch dressing
  • 1 cup (100 grams) shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup (50 grams) blue cheese crumbles (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Shred about 2 cups (300 grams) of cooked chicken.
  3. Soften the cream cheese by letting it sit at room temperature or microwaving for 20 seconds.
  4. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with ½ cup buffalo sauce and ½ cup ranch dressing until creamy and well combined.
  5. Stir in shredded chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Fold in blue cheese crumbles if using.
  6. Spread the mixture evenly in an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) baking dish.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and cheese is melted with golden edges.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm.

Notes

Softening the cream cheese before mixing ensures a smooth texture. You can microwave the dip for 3-4 minutes as a quicker alternative to baking. Adjust buffalo sauce amount to control spice level. The dip can be made ahead and refrigerated up to 24 hours before baking. Leftovers keep well refrigerated for up to 4 days and freeze for up to 2 months.
