These no-bake mint Oreo truffles are a quick and easy treat combining minty cream cheese filling with a smooth chocolate coating, perfect for last-minute desserts or snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 Mint Oreo Cookies (or regular Oreos plus extra mint extract)
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp pure mint extract
  • 12 oz (340 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Optional: green food coloring (a drop)
  • Optional: crushed peppermint candies or sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Crush the Mint Oreo cookies in a food processor until fine crumbs form (about 1 to 2 cups). Alternatively, crush in a zip-top bag with a rolling pin.
  2. Transfer Oreo crumbs to a medium bowl. Add softened cream cheese and 1 teaspoon mint extract. Mix until fully combined and smooth.
  3. If desired, add a drop of green food coloring and mix until evenly tinted.
  4. Scoop mixture with a small cookie scoop or tablespoon and roll into 1-inch balls. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Yield about 20-24 truffles.
  5. Chill the truffles in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to firm up.
  6. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments, stirring until smooth.
  7. Dip each chilled truffle into melted chocolate using a fork or dipping tool, letting excess drip off. Place back on parchment paper.
  8. Refrigerate dipped truffles for 15-20 minutes until chocolate is set and firm.

Notes

Use softened cream cheese for smooth texture. Crush Oreos finely for easier rolling. Chill truffle mixture if too soft before shaping. Avoid overheating chocolate to prevent burning. Final chill is essential for a firm chocolate coating. Optional add-ins include crushed peppermint candies, sea salt, or nuts.
