  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) pepper jelly (red or jalapeño)
  • Optional garnish: thinly sliced green onions, chopped cilantro, crushed red pepper flakes
  • Serving accompaniments: crisp crackers, toasted baguette slices, fresh veggie sticks (celery, bell peppers)

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese by leaving it out of the fridge for about 30 minutes until soft but not melted.
  2. Place the softened cream cheese in a medium mixing bowl.
  3. Add 1/2 cup (120 ml) of pepper jelly on top of the cream cheese.
  4. Mix with a spoon or spatula until fully combined and smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a serving dish or spread evenly on a small platter.
  6. Add optional garnishes such as green onions, cilantro, or crushed red pepper flakes.
  7. Serve immediately with crackers, toasted bread, or fresh veggies.
  8. Optional: Cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours; bring to room temperature before serving.

Notes

Soften cream cheese properly to avoid lumps. Mix gently but thoroughly for smooth texture. Serve at room temperature for best flavor and spreadability. Can be made up to 24 hours ahead and refrigerated. Avoid freezing. Adjust heat by choosing pepper jelly type or adding jalapeños/hot sauce.
