A quick and easy charcuterie board featuring crackers, fresh fruit, cheeses, and cured meats, perfect for summer beach days and casual entertaining.

Ingredients

  • Crackers (water crackers, multigrain, or buttery round ones)
  • Seedless grapes (red or green)
  • Apple slices (firm variety like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
  • Fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, or blackberries) – optional
  • Pear slices
  • Mild cheddar cheese (sliced or cubed)
  • Brie or Camembert cheese (cut into wedges)
  • Goat cheese logs (crumbled or sliced, optional)
  • Thinly sliced prosciutto or salami (nitrate-free if preferred)
  • Marcona almonds or lightly salted cashews
  • Honey (small drizzle)
  • Olives or cornichons (optional)
  • Optional dips: hummus or creamy garlic dip

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruit: rinse grapes and berries thoroughly and pat dry. Slice apples and pears thinly, toss slices lightly in lemon juice to prevent browning.
  2. Slice the cheeses: cut cheddar into bite-sized cubes or slices, wedge Brie or Camembert into small triangles, crumble or slice goat cheese if using. Keep cheeses chilled until serving.
  3. Arrange the meats: fold or roll prosciutto and salami slices neatly without overcrowding.
  4. Lay out crackers in small piles or fan them out around the board.
  5. Add nuts and extras: scatter Marcona almonds or cashews around the board and place small bowls with honey, olives, or dips strategically.
  6. Final touches: drizzle a little honey over cheese wedges or fruit clusters if desired.

Notes

Keep crackers separate from wet ingredients until serving to avoid sogginess. Assemble just before serving or on site for freshness. Chill cheeses and meats ahead of time. Toss apple and pear slices in lemon juice to prevent browning. Portion wisely to avoid overcrowding the board. Variations include vegan cheeses and meats, seasonal fruit swaps, and gluten-free cracker alternatives.
