  • Juice of 1 large lemon (about 2 tablespoons)
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey (or maple syrup for vegan option)
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) filtered water

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop the ginger and turmeric into small chunks.
  2. Juice the lemon to get about 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of fresh juice.
  3. Add chopped ginger, turmeric, lemon juice, honey, black pepper, and water to a blender.
  4. Blend on high for about 30 seconds until smooth and combined.
  5. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove pulp if desired.
  6. Pour the shot into small glasses or bottles and consume immediately.

Notes

Use fresh turmeric for best flavor and potency; black pepper enhances turmeric absorption. Shots keep refrigerated up to 48 hours; shake before drinking.
