A quick, healthy snack featuring crisp apple slices drizzled with warm peanut butter, dark chocolate chips, and crunchy toppings. Ready in just five minutes, it’s perfect for satisfying sweet cravings without guilt.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji recommended)
  • 3 tablespoons creamy peanut butter (natural, runny)
  • 2 tablespoons dark chocolate chips (mini or regular)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped almonds
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened shredded coconut (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds or hemp seeds
  • Pinch of flaky sea salt (e.g., Maldon)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for extra sweetness)

Instructions

  1. Wash and core the apples. No need to peel them.
  2. Slice the apples into thin, even rounds or half-moons, about ¼-inch thick.
  3. Arrange the apple slices in a single layer on a serving platter, slightly overlapping.
  4. Spoon the peanut butter into a small microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 10-15 seconds until thin and pourable.
  5. Drizzle the warm peanut butter over the apple slices in a zigzag pattern.
  6. Sprinkle the dark chocolate chips evenly over the apples while the peanut butter is still warm.
  7. Add the chopped almonds, shredded coconut, and chia or hemp seeds.
  8. Finish with a light sprinkle of flaky sea salt.
  9. Serve immediately while the apples are crisp and the peanut butter is warm.

Notes

For best results, slice apples just before serving to prevent browning. If prepping ahead, toss slices in lemon juice and water. Warm nut butter until pourable for easy drizzling. Avoid overdrizzling to keep apples crisp. Customize with different nut butters, toppings, or variations like S’mores or Tropical Twist.
