Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (100 g) old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 ½ cups (190 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup (120 ml) honey
  • ½ cup (120 ml) milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • ⅓ cup (75 g) melted unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and salt. Mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together honey, milk, eggs, and melted unsalted butter until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently with a wooden spoon. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

[‘Don’t overmix the batter to avoid tough bread.’, ‘Use room temperature eggs and milk for better incorporation.’, ‘Sprinkle rolled oats or cinnamon sugar on top before baking for extra texture and flavor.’, ‘Cover the bread loosely with aluminum foil during the last 10 minutes of baking if the top browns too quickly.’]
