  • 1 lb sirloin steak tips, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to season
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley (optional garnish)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the steak tips dry with paper towels and season with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning. Toss to coat evenly.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak tips in a single layer. Sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and whisk to combine. Let it simmer gently for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until melted and the sauce is smooth. If using nutmeg, stir it in now. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Return the steak tips to the skillet and pour the Parmesan sauce over them. Toss gently to coat the steak in the sauce. Serve immediately, garnished with parsley and red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes

Ensure your skillet is hot for a good sear on the steak tips. Adjust Cajun seasoning to your spice preference. Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best sauce texture.
