Crispy egg rolls filled with creamy, cheesy jalapeño popper goodness, perfect for game days, parties, or snack cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (225 g) softened cream cheese
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup (70 g) cooked bacon crumbles
  • 2 finely chopped jalapeños
  • 1/2 tsp (2 g) garlic powder
  • Egg roll wrappers
  • Cooking oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, bacon crumbles, jalapeños, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined.
  2. Lay out an egg roll wrapper on a flat surface. Place about 2 tbsp (30 g) of filling in the center. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold the sides in, and roll tightly. Seal the edge with a dab of water.
  3. Heat cooking oil in a deep fryer or skillet to 350°F (175°C). Use enough oil to submerge the egg rolls completely.
  4. Carefully place the egg rolls into the hot oil, a few at a time. Fry for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove the egg rolls with tongs and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain.
  6. Let the egg rolls cool slightly before serving. Pair them with your favorite dipping sauce, like ranch or spicy mayo.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, skip the bacon and add diced green onions. Use a thermometer to maintain oil temperature at 350°F (175°C) for perfect frying.
