Maple Dijon Glazed Chicken Thighs are the perfect harmony of sweetness and zest, wrapped around juicy, tender chicken. This recipe is quick, easy, and packed with bold flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Ensure skillet is oven-safe if using one.
  2. Season chicken thighs generously with salt and pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, and minced garlic to make the glaze.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place chicken thighs skin-side down and sear for 5-6 minutes until golden and crispy. Flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes. Remove excess oil from the pan.
  5. Pour the maple Dijon glaze over the chicken thighs, turning them to coat evenly. Spoon glaze over the skin.
  6. Transfer skillet to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Optional: Broil for the last 2-3 minutes for extra caramelization.
  8. Let chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Spoon extra glaze from the pan over the chicken.

Notes

Searing the chicken locks in moisture and creates crispy skin. Keep an eye on the glaze to prevent burning. Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken is cooked to 165°F.
