Refreshing Frozen Strawberry Lemonade Margarita

frozen strawberry lemonade margarita recipe - featured image

A quick and easy 3-ingredient frozen cocktail combining frozen strawberries, lemonade, and tequila for a refreshing summer drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (300g) frozen strawberries, whole or halved
  • 1 cup (240ml) lemonade, preferably fresh or high-quality store-bought
  • 1 cup (240ml) tequila blanco (100% agave)
  • Optional garnishes: fresh lemon slices, mint leaves, coarse salt for rimming the glass

Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients. Ensure strawberries are frozen solid and lemonade and tequila are chilled.
  2. Add 2 cups of frozen strawberries to the blender.
  3. Pour in 1 cup of lemonade. For a tarter taste, use fresh lemonade or add extra lemon juice.
  4. Add 1 cup of tequila blanco. Adjust amount for stronger or lighter cocktail.
  5. Blend on high for 30-45 seconds until smooth and slushy. Add more lemonade if too thick or more frozen berries if too thin.
  6. Optionally, rub a lemon wedge around the rim of glasses and dip in coarse salt.
  7. Pour the margarita into glasses, garnish with lemon slices or mint, and serve immediately.

Notes

Use fully frozen strawberries for the best slushy texture. Chill lemonade and tequila beforehand to avoid watering down the drink. Avoid over-blending to keep icy texture. For a frosty rim, freeze glasses for 10 minutes before pouring. Non-alcoholic version: omit tequila and add sparkling water or lemon-lime soda.
