A dangerously easy and addictive dip combining creamy ranch-infused cream cheese with crispy bacon, perfect for parties, potlucks, and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix (about 1 oz)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices cooked bacon, crispy and crumbled
  • 2 stalks green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: pinch of cayenne pepper or swap cheddar for pepper jack cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 8–10 minutes. Drain on paper towels and crumble once cooled.
  2. Soften the cream cheese by letting it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, and ranch dressing mix. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for 2–3 minutes until creamy.
  4. Fold in shredded cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and freshly ground black pepper gently.
  5. Stir in most of the crumbled bacon (reserve some for topping) and sliced green onions.
  6. For a cold dip, cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let flavors meld. For a warm dip, spread mixture into a shallow oven-safe dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.
  7. Sprinkle reserved bacon over the top just before serving. Serve with sturdy crackers, fresh veggie sticks, or toasted bread slices.

Notes

Softening cream cheese fully is key to avoid lumps. Cook bacon slowly for best crispiness. Chill at least 1 hour for best flavor or bake for a warm version. Reserve some bacon for topping to keep it crispy. Can substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream and turkey bacon for a lighter version. For vegetarian, omit bacon and add smoked paprika or crispy fried onions.
