Rich, fudgy brownies with spooky decorations like spider webs and ghostly swirls, perfect for Halloween parties and fall gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Halloween candy and sprinkles (e.g., candy eyes, orange and black sugar sprinkles, mini marshmallows)
  • White chocolate (optional, melted for spider web designs)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually fold this into the wet mixture until fully combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  4. Transfer the batter to your prepared pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan.
  6. Decorate with melted white chocolate for spider webs or use candy eyes and sprinkles for a spooky effect. Let the toppings set before slicing into squares.
