These Spooky Oreo Ghost Truffles are creamy, sweet, and decorated to look like adorable little ghosts – perfect for Halloween parties or festive treats.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 36 regular Oreos, crushed into fine crumbs
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 16 oz white chocolate or candy melts
  • Mini chocolate chips for ghost eyes
  • Black edible gel or decorating pen for ghost mouths

Instructions

  1. Place the Oreos in a food processor and pulse until they’re fine crumbs. Alternatively, seal the Oreos in a zip-top bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the Oreo crumbs with softened cream cheese until fully combined. The mixture should resemble a dough.
  3. Use a cookie scoop or spoon to portion out the mixture into small balls (about 1 tablespoon each). Roll them smooth with your hands and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Refrigerate the truffle balls for 30 minutes to firm up.
  5. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate or candy melts in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until smooth.
  6. Using a toothpick or fork, dip each truffle into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated. Place it back on the parchment paper to set.
  7. Before the chocolate sets completely, press two mini chocolate chips into each truffle for eyes. Once set, use black edible gel or a decorating pen to draw spooky mouths.
  8. Refrigerate the decorated truffles for 15 minutes to allow the coating to fully harden.

Notes

[‘Ensure cream cheese is fully softened for easy mixing.’, ‘Crush Oreos finely for smooth truffles.’, ‘Don’t overheat white chocolate to prevent seizing.’, ‘Add a teaspoon of vegetable oil to thin out thick chocolate coating.’, ‘Decorate quickly as the chocolate sets fast.’]
