Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (10 oz) package frozen spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1 cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt for a lighter option)
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oval-shaped crackers (to make tombstones)
  • Black food marker or edible ink pen
  • Baby carrots (for pumpkin shapes)
  • Celery sticks (cut into ‘bones’)
  • Cherry tomatoes (optional, for spooky accents)
  • Green bell pepper (cut into strips for grass or vines)
  • Optional: Halloween-themed cookie cutters for extra shapes

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed and drained spinach, sour cream, mayonnaise, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix everything thoroughly until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  3. Transfer the spinach dip into a shallow serving dish or platter. Spread it evenly to create the base for your graveyard scene.
  4. Use the black food marker or edible ink pen to write spooky messages on crackers, such as ‘RIP’ or ‘Boo!’ Set these aside to act as tombstones.
  5. Carve baby carrots into small pumpkin shapes using a sharp knife or cookie cutters. Add tiny cuts for ‘pumpkin lines’ if desired.
  6. Cut celery sticks into bone-like shapes and place them on the platter.
  7. Arrange cherry tomatoes, green bell pepper strips, and any other vegetables to resemble grass, vines, or creepy accents.
  8. Place the decorated crackers upright into the spinach dip to mimic tombstones.
  9. Scatter the carrot pumpkins, celery bones, and other veggies around the dip to complete the spooky scene.
  10. Optional: Add a drizzle of black or green food coloring over the dip for an extra creepy effect.
