A quick and easy homemade strawberry acai refresher that tastes just like Starbucks, made with fresh strawberries, acai powder, and natural sweeteners. Perfect for a refreshing, fruity pick-me-up without the caffeine crash.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced (about 150 grams)
  • 1 teaspoon acai powder
  • 1 cup water (240 ml), filtered or spring water
  • 1/2 cup white grape juice (120 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave nectar (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups ice cubes
  • Sliced strawberries and mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse 1 cup of fresh strawberries, hull and slice them.
  2. Gently muddle the sliced strawberries in a bowl with a spoon or muddler until juicy for texture, or blend the strawberries with 1 cup of water until pureed for a smoother drink.
  3. Stir in 1 teaspoon of acai powder and 1/2 cup of white grape juice until the acai powder is mostly dissolved.
  4. Mix in 1 tablespoon of honey or agave nectar if desired for sweetness, then add 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  5. Add 1 to 1 1/2 cups of ice cubes and stir or gently shake if using a lidded container.
  6. Pour into tall glasses and garnish with sliced strawberries and a sprig of fresh mint if desired.
  7. Enjoy immediately. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours and stir before serving.

Notes

If you prefer a smoother drink, strain through a fine mesh strainer to remove pulp and seeds. Keep ingredients cold to maintain crispness. Stir well before each sip to redistribute acai powder. Can substitute white grape juice with apple juice or coconut water. For a caffeine boost, replace half the water with brewed green tea.
